Hello,
This seems to be a known issue that a few people are having (although not enough people for Microsoft to re-release the patch). Here's a link to a tech support forum:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqlsetupandupgrade/thread/73bbe749-2cfc-4d2e-a48c-a084a52b8801/
Someone has posted a fix towards the bottom of the page which will hopefully work for you.
Good luck!
It's been about 18 years since I last played Sonic, but if memory serves, you need to jump onto the blocks in order to smash them. Or maybe you need to roll into them. I'm pretty sure it's one of those but apologies if I'm wrong.
Now get some work done!;-)
Download a free virus scanner like Avast! or AVG. In many respects they're better than paid-for programmes like Norton as they will fix any problems you have without asking for any money aside from voluntary donations. It would also bee a good idea to download a spyware scanner and a firewall as well. I use a combination of Avast!, spybot search and destroy and Zonealarm firewall and have not had a virus in as long as I can remember.
Go to a general site like www.download.com and have a look through the reviews yourself, you should find something that suits without too much bother.

You might not have lost your work permanently! You should be able to download free file recovery software which will find the document you were working on.
Unfortunately it's not infallible - anything you've saved since you lost your work may have overwritten some or all of the deleted file but if all goes well you should at least be able to recover some of your work. Go to www.download.com and search for file recovery software. It's a pretty good site for free downloads and has the added bonus of not being infested with viruses.
Good Luck!
> I just had a similar problem with Word & Excel 2007 (although thankfully I haven't lost any work). There seems to be an issue that causes MS Office programmes to stall or crash when installing the most recent MS update files ( I think its the Genuine Advantage patch for Windows Vista) so if anyone hasn't had the updates yet , make sure you save your work before it runs!
I travelled from Glasgow to Edinburgh for my MSc, and I got the full travel allowance from SAAS without any bother. Mind you, my course was SAAS funded, so if yours isn't then you might have some difficulty as I think SAAS only pay travel expenses to people who are on SAAS funded courses. I might be wrong about that though so you'd be best to check with them directly.
Hi all, I've been lurking around the forum for a while and getting some very useful advice from the threads, but this is my first post and in typical n00b fashion it's a request for help.
I'm currently writing my MSc dissertation, which is an investigation into the environmental impact of a music festival. I've got the vast majority of the work done (just analysis left to do) but there's a section which I feel is lacking.
I'd like to include a paragraph or two on recommendations for future research, with reference to the lack, or otherwise, of study that's gone into the topic. The problem is that I can't find a great deal of literature on the subject via journal searches, but from talking to other students and staff it seems that several other postgrad dissertations have focused on a similar subject to mine.
So, what I'd like to do is try to get an idea of just how much work has gone into the environmental impact of music festivals at the postgrad level. If anyone has done any work on this, I would very much appreciate if you could get in touch either on this thread or by PM.
Just to be clear - I am NOT asking for a look at your dissertations/theses, all I'd like is the title of the study and the year it was done, as well as a very brief summary of the conclusion so that I can include it, correctly referenced, in my own dissertation.
Any help will be most gratefully received.
