Hi rewt, Thanks for the response. There are other professors who can give me good references but this is my current supervisor. I had applied for a job and they were interested in my CV and asked for references but after that they told I am not well suited for that position.

Do people take up Biological scientist positions after doing a postdoc. I have seen few but is it normal.

My first postdoc position is ending soon and my long term goal is to work in an industry. But I have visa issues for shifting to industry now and not interested in doing one more postdoc. Is it possible to get Molecular biologist kind of positions in Academia and will it affect my transition into the industry later.

Hi all, I have completed 1 year of postdoc (Molecular biology) and have one more year to go. The project is not going well and I dont think I can pulish at the end of 2 years. I am planning to apply for industry after my postdoc. I have 4 publications (3 first author) from my PhD in low impact journals. Is it hard to get a job in an industry without any industry experience?. Does industries offer entry level technical jobs for postdocs and if I get one, will that effect my career.
