i also wanted to add, im now 21 years old, dont know if that makes me too young for a PhD, but i just want to do everything i can in terms of studying, so i can find a job, settle down and start travelling the whole world
i would hate to take a year off and then realise i dont have the courage to live abroad again and study for 4-5 years..
Hey, i am a current masters degree student [mathematics] in london, first worry is that can i apply for a Phd if i have not yet finished my masters?
my goal is actually becoming a teacher, and i already have offers, but i was thinking about going for a phd to be able to find a job at a university or college[more money, less stress and work load in my opinion]
but am i PhD 'material'? i mean i am a good student, but how do i know if i have what it takes? :/
i was also thinking about the country i will go, i hear in usa you can also get good money by teaching[which is really good since i am self-funded], anyone knows about this?
do you have to know exactly what your area of thesis is before you start?
in the long run, i just want to know, is it actually worth it?
