Hi all, I'm currently in my late twenties and finishing a part time MSc Computer Science degree in London this year. My BSc degree was in Music & Electronics so the MSc degree is more of a conversion masters.
I would love to continue onto a PhD but I'm not a specialist in any particular area which seems a barrier to me continuing my studies. I have thought about doing an MRes but as it would be a second masters I wouldn't qualify for a UK government loan.
Full time study would not be an option for me as I have a mortgage and unfortunately need to pay the bills!
Are there any funded Masters courses in this area? I've heard of 4 year PhD's that include taught elements in the 1st year, would this be a good option for me and are there many available?
Would love to hear from anyone with a similar experience.
Cheers, chumbo
