Yeah in a way...strange yet exciting...I thought of renting an apartment with a couple of my mates who're also going...but that turned out to be a hassle cuz we couldn't find a place that all of us agreed on..:P...so we all applied for university accommodation...I've applied for a place at Richmond Place and Morgan Court...Haven't heard from the accommodation dept as yet...So you're moving early? Have you been to Edinburgh before?

Edinburgh is a brilliant university...It was ranked in the world top 25 by the TIMES-QS World University Rankings in 2007...The Ties Employer Review ranked it in the world top 15...As far as the business school is concerned it is good...Its not in the top tier with the likes of LBS, LSE, Imperial, Cambridge, Oxford and Manchester...But it definitely is in the UK top 10 or 15...Also compare it to the options at hand...If you've been accepted at say Warwick or MBS or Tanaka then you should opt for them....But if your other options are Bristol, Aston, Leeds, Lancaster, Kings etc then Edinburgh is a better option...I'm going to Edinburgh for the MSc Management course for the 2008-2009 session...

Hey...I was in the same situation as you a few days back...I got acceptances from Edinburgh, Bristol and Lancaster....Got rejected by Kings College and Manchester....Out of the lot Edinburgh was the best option....The overall university is ranked in the world top 25 (Times-QS World University rankings, 2007)...The business school is in the world top 50 (based on the FT MBA Rankings, 2008)....In Times Employer rankings also rated Edinburgh in the world top 15....So the university has a really good reputation...The uni is also backed by 425 years of history with people like Charles Darwin, Adam Smith, Gordon Brown, Sir Walter Scott, Alexander Graham Bell, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and many more scientists, historians, writers and Nobel Prize winners being students here....
