Thanks Reenie.
Any idea about US universities?
Hi
I am looking for Phd opportunities in US, Canada, Europe, in the field of wireless communication. Following are my other details
M.Tech (IIT Kharagpur) CGPA: 3.5/4
B.Tech (univ, in Maharashtra): 3.4/4
Work Exp: nearly 2 yrs (non-Research but in relevant field)
Have one year of academic research exp. but no publications.
I am currently preparing for GRE/TOEFL. May I know, how are my chances of getting into top US/Europe university?
What is the minimum GRE/TOEFL score required for those universities?
Will there be any funding issues or I can avail teaching/research assistantship?
How will be the job opportunities after Phd ?
Please guide me on above queries.
Hello
I am in great confusion since long. I am currently looking out for job holding a Masters degree from IIT and 1+ yr exp. I am thinking of joining Phd eventually, in a yr or two.
But, my thoughts to go for Phd are not that strong and I would like to spend little more time in industries because of not getting expected job and quality of work during my first employment.
Can you people guide me.
Should I think positively towards Phd and start looking for something which can help me to get better univ. or look for better job, in such a confusing mindset?
Also, is there any direct advantage of having relevant work exp before applying for Phd?
